He has always been a Ferrari fan favourite, former F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella has a real affiliation with the Italian team, with 229 Grand Prix contested, including 19 podium finishes and 3 Grand Prix wins as well as two-time class winner at the 24 Hours Le Mans with Ferrari. Now the Giancarlo is to return on a full time basis for the 2018/19 season racing with the Swiss-based Spirit of Race team where he will race alongside the returning Thomas Flohr and Francesco Castellacci, in the GTE-Am class.
Spirit of Race GTE-Am will see the Italian race in the entered, what else but a Ferrari 488 GTE.

Fisichella will make his first appearance for Spirit of Race in the WEC ‘super season’ opening round at Spa on May 5,
