Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio named “SUV of the year”

The powerful top model of the Stelvio range has won the contest of the AUTO ZEITUNG magazine: Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio once again wins first place, beating the competition of the main German, Italian and English brands

 

The Model Year 2020 of the first SUV that is also an Alfa Romeo, in the most powerful of the versions distinguished by the iconic Quadrifoglio, wins an award already obtained two years ago. The car magazine AUTO ZEITUNG has once again named the top model “SUV of the year”. Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio got the better of eleven competitors, including the most powerful SUVs of the main German, Italian and British brands.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is equipped with a 510 HP V6 bi-turbo petrol engine, which allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 283 km / h. The handling and agility of this SUV are the result of the electronically controlled active suspension (Alfa TM Active Suspension), the Alfa TM DNA Pro Dynamic Driving Control selector , to which the “Race” performance mode has been added, and the braking system high performance Brembo®, Alfa TM all-wheel driveQ4, the ideal weight distribution (50/50) between the front and rear axles and the extremely direct steering. Sports seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara® further enhance driving pleasure, as well as an eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel. Shortly after its debut, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio set the lap record in the production SUV category on the legendary Nürburgring track “Nordschleife”. Among the main innovations of the MY20, the advanced electronic driver assistance systems, which allow you to achieve level 2 autonomous driving, and a new generation infotainment system equipped with an 8.8-inch display.
