The Roma Capitale Rally marked the beginning of the international rally season and took place in an unusual atmosphere, with no special test audience and limited access to the assistance areas.

Andrea Mabellini (Napoca Rally Team): “I am very happy to have started the championship with a victory in such a technical and selective race. I tried to keep a good pace and to learn to drive the Abarth 124 rally in very fast special stages, such as averages that in some cases exceeded 100 km per hour. The result rewards us and makes us look forward to the next commitments “.

Roberto Gobbin (Winners Rally Team): “My goal was to finish such a long and difficult race, with a very high pace, which put a strain on mechanics and physique. We did it and we are very satisfied, also that we have become more familiar with the Abarth 124 rally “.

The next round of the Abarth Rally Cup is the Lepaja Rally, scheduled from 13 to 15 August in Latvia, where competitors will face a dirt track.
