FCA Heritage participates in the third edition of Archivissima

FCA Heritage renews its partnership with Archivissima, the Italian archive festival approaching its third edition – This year’s Archivissima festival will be an entirely online event, with a schedule of over 50 podcasts plus a digital exhibition itinerary.

From June 5 to 8 the third edition of Archivissima will be staged, the national festival that has the main objective of bringing the public closer to the stories of the archives, encouraging the practices of participation and sharing of the memory kept in these priceless places of culture. This year, due to the pandemic emergency that has affected the entire country, the organization has decided to focus on a digital transformation of its schedule by creating over 50 podcasts and a digital exhibition path, thanks to the contribution of all participating archives .

Having become a national event, the event will see the participation of FCA Heritage, the department that protects the history of the Group’s Italian brands, together with the Centro Storico Fiat, the famous museum in Turin which houses a rich collection of cars, memorabilia, models, advertising posters, as well as a huge documentary heritage that tells the story of the largest Italian car manufacturer: more than 5,000 linear meters of paper evidence; 300,000 technical drawings; 18,000 posters; 1,300 sketches; 5,000 between automotive and industrial history volumes and magazines; 6 million images; 200 hours of historical footage.

The main theme of the third edition will be the role of women, through a reflection that wants to renew all the stories, large or small, that in many areas have seen the female figure protagonist and activator of change paths. In detail, the schedule of the Festival offers over 50 podcasts – 15 of which made by famous authors of the Italian literary panorama – which will illustrate the archival material from the various historical companies and cultural institutions. In addition, an unprecedented digital exhibition will be available, created especially for the occasion and dedicated to the story of the heritages preserved in the archives, which is enriched with vintage images and films from the Centro Storico Fiat.

The entire program of digital content will be available on the website www.archivissima.it and on the official social networks of the event.
