Schumacher replaces Vettel at Ferrari

Scuderia Ferrari have announced that Mick Schumacher, son of 7 time World Formula 1 Champion Michael, is to replace Sebastian Vettel for the 2020 season following Sebastian’s refusal to race for just what will be half a season.

With the start of the 2020 season having been delayed due to the outbreak of the CoronaVirus Vettel had expressed his anger at the FIA suggestion the season will only run for a handful of races and told bosses at Ferrari it was a joke and wouldn’t be prepared to do it.

After an emergency meeting it was decided that Vettel would be sacked for failing to agree to his contract and replaced immediately by Mick Schumacher who has been coming up through the ranks of Motorsport with the Ferrari Academy.

Sebastian has however been retained by the team, agreeing to stay on for media work saying ‘it will be fun to walk round the grid pre race hassling drivers for interviews and drinking beer’….

Yes sorry guys but this is just an April Fools! We wish everyone a safe & happy April
