Turkish group JV Tofaş (jointly owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Koç Holding) will invest $225 millions into a Tipo refresh. Investment will be finished by the end of 2020.
Recently Tofaş has announced that they’ve reached 6 millioncars produced. The 6 millionth car is a Fiat Egea/Tipo sedanfor Turkish market.
Refreshed Tipo should come to a market late next year with allnew FireFly petrol engines and final Eurp 6D homologateddiesel engines. In addition to this they will offer all newinfotainment system which will run on Android and will be as big as 10“.
Tofaş manufactures both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. It is one of the biggest automakers in the sector with its 6,500 employees and 400,000 vehicles annual production capacity. Tofaş manufactures for the Fiat, Citroen, Peugeot, Opel and Vauxhall brands in Bursa.
