RM Sotheby’s is offering a very special one off Pagani Zonda at it’s sale to be held after the Formula One race in Abu Dhabi, and with an expected price of between $4.5m and $5.5m. One of the last Zondas built by Pagani and one of the most powerful is the 2017 Aether, offering 760hp from that Mercedes V12 AMG engine with a one-off manual gearbox edition, this Zonda is pretty, well special.
The V12 roofless supercar based on the Zonda Roadster, has a fully exposed carbonfibre body with matte and glossy body accents contrasted by red trim, a rear wing, black wheels, and a rear diffuser, oh yes and no roof.
What the Pagani Zonda Aether has instead of a roof is a ‘scoop’, the large air-sucking roof scoop feeds the air into the engine as you drive along, with additional air scoops also found near the rear above the wheel arches, complimenting this is a massive rear wing that will push the car into the ground at speed.
With a green starter button, courtesy of the Zonda R to kick start the supercar to life, through to the analog speedometer going all the way up to 248.5 mph, door straps in place of handles, quilted leather seats and carbon fiber trimming throughout, the design of this Pagani is very much simplicity with racing influences.
