As any genuine octane breathing petrolhead will no doubt know, Italian exotic auto manufacturer Ferrari are known worldwide for designing, developing and producing some of the worlds very best road going supercars and hypercars. Founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, the legendary Italian automaker has since become the first choice for many of the worlds supercar and hypercar buyers/collectors, and it is said that if you own a Ferrari you have reached the pinnacle of exotic automobile ownership. However, Ferrari are not just good at designing, developing and producing high performance road cars, they are also the very best when it comes to designing, developing and building extremely successful racecars. In fact, this year (2019) marks 90 incredible years since Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari’s racing division and Formula 1 team were officially founded by Enzo Ferrari.
Known as the “most successful Formula 1 team ever” Scuderia Ferrari is the oldest surviving Formula 1 team, having competed in every Formula 1 Championship since 1950. However, if you want to celebrate this Ferrari and motorsport milestone, we may just have the perfect Ferrari for the occasion. This is it, what you are no doubt drooling over ladies and gentlemen is a 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF and what more can I say, just look at it. Listed for sale by German based exotic automobile dealership Hollmann International, this particular 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF is probably the best spec’d example we have ever seen. Based on the absolutely insane Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the hardcore, performance oriented Ferrari F12 TdF was officially unveiled by the Italian automaker in October, 2015 as a spiritual successor to the hardcore Ferrari 599 GTO.
Despite not sporting the legendary “GTO” nameplate, the hardcore Ferrari F12 TdF is considered to be more of a genuine “GTO” car than it’s spiritual successor and that kind of says it all. As any genuine petrolhead or Ferrari enthusiast will no doubt know, the absolutely epic Ferrari F12 TdF is a limited edition model and therefore it was produced in limited numbers. In fact, the Ferrari F12 TdF stayed in production for two short years (2015 – 2017) and during that period the legendary Italian automaker produced just 799 examples of the epic Ferrari F12 TdF. As a result, the Ferrari F12 TdF is a rare and highly sought after automobile today amongst wealthy car collectors and if I am totally honest, it’s not often that we at Enzari hear about such a unique and highly spec’d Ferrari F12 TdF (like the vehicle featured) that has been listed for sale.
Starting on the outside, as the hardcore Ferrari F12 TdF is based on the regular Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the F12 TdF shares the same basic exterior design as the F12 Berlinetta but it does feature a few model exclusive exterior aerodynamic enhancements which help set it apart from a standard Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, these enhancements include more aggressive front and rear bumpers, a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber side skirts, carbon fiber front fender vents, rear fender vents and a redesigned carbon fiber rear diffuser with integrated quad tailpipes. As for the vehicle featured in this article according to dealership Hollman International, this particular Ferrari F12 TdF features a rare and totally bespoke exterior paint finish. Dubbed “Rosso Fuoco”, this gorgeous shade of red is quite a bit darker than Ferrari’s iconic “Rosso Corsa” red and it seems to have more metallic flakes in it too, which makes it stand out even more in a crowd.
Staying with the exterior, this particular 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF also features carbon fiber headlights, body coloured side view mirrors, titanium quad tailpipes, 20-inch, ten-spoke lightweight forged alloy wheels, red painted brake calipers and traditional yellow “Scuderia Ferrari” side shields. Inside, the interior of gorgeous 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF is just as impressive as the exterior. As a result, if you look inside you will find carbon fiber race seats which have been upholstered in red and black Alcantara, carbon fiber door panels, a carbon fiber center tunnel, a carbon fiber and red Alcantara trimmed multi-function steering wheel with integrated LED shift lights, carbon fiber steering mounted shift paddles, a full digital instrument cluster with yellow analog rev counter, a red and black Alcantara trimmed dashboard with carbon fiber trim pieces, a passenger dashboard mounted display and carbon fiber sill plates.
As one would expect, this absolutely stunning 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF is fully loaded with a long list of niceties which include front and rear parking cameras, an infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, a NAVTRAK anti-theft system, a heat insulated windshield and a suspension lift system. Powering this 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF is an upgraded version of the 6.3 liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine which can be found in the standard Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. As a result, the hardcore Ferrari F12 TdF has an overall power output of 769 hp (574 kW) and 705 N.m (520 lb-ft) of torque. Mated to the giant 6.3 liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine is a seven-speed dual clutch “F1” transmission which sends all available power directly to the rear wheels.
As a result of the aforementioned set-up and the F12 TdF’s 1,415 kg (3,120 lb) dry weight, this Italian beast can sprint from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and top out at over 340 km/h (211 mph). According to Ferrari, the absolutely brutal F12 TdF recorded an impressive lap time of 1 minute 21 seconds around Ferrari’s world famous Fiorano test track. In fact, the Ferrari F12 TdF was 2 seconds faster than the regular Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and 1.3 seconds slower than the mild-hybrid Ferrari LaFerrari, if that’s not impressive then I don’t know what is. According to exotic automobile dealership Hollman International, this stunning 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF has covered a mere 650 kilometers (403 miles) since the day it rolled off of Ferrari’s Modena, Italy assembly line, making it a virtually brand new example.
As mentioned earlier in this article, this 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF is currently listed for sale at German based exotic automobile dealership Hollman International. According to the vehicle listing, this particular Ferrari F12 TdF has had only one owner since new and as it is a low mileage example, this 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF is not at all cheap. If you want to park this pristine piece of Ferrari engineering in your garage you will have to part with an eye watering €799,000 ($895,000). Even though €799,000 ($895,000) is an insane amount of money for most of us, it is not an excessive asking price for such a unique, rare and highly desirable automobile like the Ferrari F12 TdF featured in this article. As with most limited edition Ferrari models, the value of this 2015 Ferrari F12 TdF will only increase in the coming years and that makes it a great collectors piece and a great investment too.
