Alfa Romeo Racing’s Antonio Giovinazzi Awarded Prestigious “Bandini Trophy” As Debutant Of The Year In F1

The twenty-sixth edition of the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy was held over the weekend. The event involved over 15,000 people and culminated with the award given to Antonio Giovinazzi as the best novice of the year in Formula 1. The Alfa Romeo Racing Italian driver adds his name to a list of legendary riders awarded in Brisighella in the past editions. The Bandini Trophy winners include champions of the caliber of his current team-mate Kimi Räikkönen, Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Jacques Villeneuve, Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. In his category, Giovinazzo succeeds Bottas and Verstappen.

Antonio Giovinazzi and Alfa Romeo have given great emotions to the public not only through the gratitude expressed on the Brisighella stage, but also on the way to reach the town on the slopes of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, which is part of the “Most Beautiful Villages of Italy “. On Saturday afternoon, in fact, Giovinazzi left Faenza aboard the Alfa Romeo Racing single-seater, the C38 running car, leading the caravan that arrived in Brisighella along a city route. Enthusiasts were thus able to listen closely to the unmistakable sound of a Formula 1 car and admire its livery. Behind the single-seater, an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio “Alfa Romeo Racing”.

Furthermore, this special series is equipped with the exclusive Akrapovič titanium exhaust, which emphasizes the deep sound and aggressive of the 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine: on the Giulia “Alfa Romeo Racing” also benefits from a 10 HP increase in power.
