When it comes to producing highly desirable exotic automobiles, Italian exotic auto manufacturer Ferrari are amongst the first to mind and it’s not hard to see or understand why. Over the last 72 years Ferrari have been responsible for some of the world’s best and most insane supercars and hypercars like the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari F40, brutal Ferrari F50, the highly desirable Ferrari Enzo (F60) and more recently the hybrid Ferrari LaFerrari (F70). Ferrari unveiled the mild-hybrid LaFerrari at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with production beginning in June, 2013, the absolutely stunning LeFerrari stayed in production for nearly three years and in that period Ferrari only produced 500 examples, as a result the mild-hybrid LaFerrari is one rare and highly desirable hypercar today.
As any genuine gear head would no doubt know the stunning LaFerrari is the first mild-hybrid vehicle to sport the iconic Ferrari ‘Prancing Horse’ logo, therefore it is powered by one serious powertrain. To be more specific, the LaFerrari is powered by a 6.3 litre Ferrari F140 Direct Injection V12 engine. As a result, the LaFerrari have an overall power output of 789 hp (588 kW) and 700 Nm of torque. However, because the LaFerrari also features a KERS system, this insane hypercar benefits from an extra 161 hp (120 kW) of power, giving the LaFerrari a combined power output of 950 hp (708 kW) and 900 Nm of torque. This advanced Ferrari F140 powertrain is paired to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, which enables the LaFerrari to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph).
So then, it is quite obvious that the LaFerrari is a serious piece of automotive kit and as mentioned earlier in this article, these mild-hybrid Italian hypercars are extremely desirable and therefore becoming rather scarce. However, if you have always wanted to park a LaFerrari in your garage not all hope is lost, because the ‘pre-owned’ market may just have what you are looking for. Like the vehicle featured in this article for instance, what you are no doubt drooling over ladies and gentlemen is a 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari and it is currently listed for sale by UK based exotic automobile dealership JoeMacari. As you can no doubt see from the images featured in this article, this specific 2014 LaFerrari is not like any other, not only does it feature a rather special exterior paint finish but it also has some serious celebrity ownership status too. What’s not to love about it then?
Starting on the outside, well it is a LaFerrari after all therefore it features that sporty, yet timeless design complete with ‘Gullwing’ doors. As expected, this 2014 LaFerrari features a long list of carbon fiber and gloss black exterior pieces which include the front splitter, rear diffuser and roof but it is the exterior paint finish that is this LaFerrari’s most notable feature. As mentioned earlier in this article, the exterior paint finish featured on this particular LaFerrari is rather special. Known as ‘Kermit Green’, I have never come across another LeFerrari with this paint finish, which makes this particular LaFerrari a one-of-a-kind example. In order to finish off the one-of-a-kind exterior look, this LaFerrari also features body coloured side view mirrors, yellow Ferrari side shields, silver five spoke alloy wheels and yellow painted brake calipers.
Inside, this ‘Kermit Green’ LaFerrari features black leather seats with matching ‘Kermit Green’ accents, contrast stitching and ‘Prancing Horse’ logo’s on the headrests. That is not all, this LaFerrari also features Alcantara upper dashboard panels, a host of carbon fiber interior trim pieces, matching ‘Kermit Green’ dashboard accents and other ‘Kermit Green’ interior trim pieces as well as a carbon fiber and Alcantara multi-function Ferrari steering wheel. Just like the exterior, the interior of this 2014 LaFerrari has been taken care of very well, as a result it looks as if it had just rolled off the assembly line. This stunning ‘Kermit Green’ LaFerrari is also being sold with it’s original LaFerrari branded luggage set which is also finished in ‘Kermit Green’.
As mentioned earlier in this article, this 2014 LaFerrari has some serious celebrity ownership status. In fact, this ‘Kermit Green’ LaFerrari is currently being sold by Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay. The name Jay Kay will sound very familiar to gear heads everywhere as he has been dubbed as ‘an avid gear head’ by the global automotive community. Anyhow according to the official advertisement for this stunning vehicle, it has been apart of Jay Kay’s extensive exotic automobile collection for the last five years. Despite being owned by Jay Kay for the last five years we don’t think the Jamiroquai front man really enjoyed this Italian masterpiece, after all this 2014 LaFerrari has only covered a mere 3,058 kilometres (1,900 miles) since new, which makes it a virtually brand new example.
As mentioned earlier in this article, this 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari is currently seeking a new home and it up for sale at UK based exotic automobile dealership JoeMacari, unfortunately the price is unknown. However, if you think this special LaFerrari will be cheap, you are dead wrong because it is a low mileage example, with a celebrity first owner so it will definitely sell for more than your normal LaFerrari, maybe it will even sell for more than a LaFerrari Aperta? Only time will tell, however if you are interested in purchasing this 2014 LaFerrari you better act quickly because we don’t think it will hang around for very long.
