A rather special Ferrari F12 tdf has come up for sale, some might wonder what is it that makes this F12 tdf so special? Well, the F12 tdf was built in limited numbers 799 to be exact but it’s not just the fact that this is a limited production Prancing Horse, it’s also because this particular F12 tdf was owned by a ScuderiaFerrari Formula One racing driver. Want to take a guess who it is? Perhaps the legendary Michael Schumacher? Fernando Alonso? Or Kimi Raikkonen?
No, it’s not any of those excellent drivers but it is Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa. Yes, this F12 tdf was owned by Felipe Massa and while in the employment of Scuderia Ferrari he raced to eleven Formula One victories in a Ferrari career spanning seven years from 2006 up to 2013. For seven years of dedicated service to the Scuderia, the factory rewarded him with this breathtakingly beautiful and highly specced Ferrari F12 tdf. This excellently specced F12 tdf is being offered by Florida based Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, the same Ferrari dealer which ordered this F12 tdf for him in the first place. This stunning Prancing Horse is finished in Rosso F1 2007 paint which matches the Ferrari Formula One cars he piloted.
Every carbon fibre option offered was ticked which include engine covers, racing seats, rear package tray and shelf, dash inserts, wheel center caps, fog lamp housings, air filter boxes, headlight buckets and under bonnet covers. That is a lot of carbon fibre but after all Maranello’s carbon fibre did keep him safe while competing for the Scuderia in Formula One.
On the inside, the interior is upholstered in mostly Black Alcantara with red contrast stitching defining the seams together with the lovely embroidered headrests. The premium audio system is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Sirius XM radio. Other features present include AFS adaptive headlights, front suspension lift, front and rear parking cameras, titanium exhaust system, aluminum face tachometer and passenger display.
This F12 tdf is a pretty low mileage example with only 778 miles on its odometer. Due to this fact it’s massive V12 engine has to be properly broken in.
Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale have priced this special F12 tdf at an eye watering figure of $1,1 million. Considering the options, low mileage and the fact it was in the ownership of a former Scuderia Ferrari Formula One racing driver, it’s not really an eye watering figure. The complimentary factory service runs until July 29, 2023.
Just by seeing images of this special Ferrari F12 tdf I have fallen in love with it and if I was financially fortunate enough, I would acquire it in a heartbeat.
