HMS Racing Announce New Partner

HMS Racing Latest – Body Repair Specialist 24hr Solutions Announced As New Partner For Touring Car Squad HMS Racing

Successful touring car team HMS Racing has confirmed a new partnership for the 2019 motorsport season with the Vehicle Repair and Recovery Centre – part of the 24hr Solutions group.

The agreement will see 24hr Solutions look after all of the bodywork repairs and requirements for HMS Racing’s podium-finishing British Touring Car Championship Alfa Romeo Giulietta – which will be embarking on an extensive test programme throughout 2019 – and its sister show car.

Additionally, the team is also thrilled to confirm continued support from long-standing partner Finch Signs which has been part of the Swindon squad’s motorsport activities for a number of years in the high-profile BTCC.

“We’re delighted to have agreed a deal with 24hr Solutions and its Vehicle Repair and Recovery Centre to be a partner of HMS Racing this year”, said team principal Simon Belcher, “We’re very much looking forward to working with Phil Turner [24hr Solutions director] and his team who have created a very successful business.

“Obviously, we hope there won’t be too many body panels to repair and repaint over the course of the year! Whatever happens, though, we know we have a great partner in 24hr Solutions ready to provide a top service.”

Belcher added: “It’s also fantastic to retain the support of Finch Signs, who’ve been a long-standing partner to HMS Racing for many years. The service provided is consistently second to none, and we’re very proud to be joined by Finch once again for the coming year.”

New partner 24hr Solutions was founded, and is headed-up by, Phil Turner and the business now operates as a multi-facility service provider through a single telephone number. Initially offering engineering support for buildings, the company has grown massively over the last seven years and now covers transport, vehicles, recovery and also ground maintenance services.

Presently, 24hr Solutions looks after around 6,500 UK properties with additional projects across Europe and in the USA. The Vehicle Repair and Recovery Centre operates a pair of 8,000 square foot workshops which cater for anything from cars and vans to trucks and buses…and now touring cars!

Notably, Turner’s links with motorsport also include active participation himself having made his race debut last season in the Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres. This year, Turner will be back on the grid in Legends again in his striking Team 247 ‘Help for Heroes’ liveried car.

As part of its dedication to corporate and social responsibility, 24hr Solutions is proud of its association with Help for Heroes and works hard to raise money for the charity at a variety of different events – including through the Team 247 racing programme.

In addition to its test schedule with Rob Austin and the Alfa Romeo this year, HMS Racing will also compete in the inaugural Touring Car Trophy. In addition to fielding the ex-Austin ‘Sherman’ Audi A4 for British driver Alex Day, the team is also planning to run its BTCC race-winning Toyota Avensis.

Drivers interested in evaluating race options for the inaugural Touring Car Trophy Championship are invited to get in touch with team boss Simon Belcher at simon@handymotorsport.co.uk or Rob Austin at rob@handymotorsport.co.uk

We for one can’t wait to see the team back on the grid next year and wish them good luck in their 2019 events.
