Pope’s Lamborghini Back Up For Sale After Auction Fell Through
A Lamborghini Huracan signed by the Pope has found itself back up for sale after the initial auction fell through. https://enzari.com/2017/11/lamborghini-donates-huracan-to-pope-francis-for-charity/
The white Lamborghini complete with gold stripes, to match the white and yellow of the Vatican City flag, was donated to the Pope in November 2017. The Pope had even signed the Supercar before it was put up for auction to raise money for charity.
The auction held back in May by RM Sotheby’s failed to finalise the sale meaning the car has now come back up for sale. This time the Lamborghini is available through an online fundraising platform, with donations beginning at $10 in order to enter the contest, according to the campaign at www.omaze.com/experiences/pope-francis-lamborghini.
This time not only will the winner get the cherished Lamborghini but also a trip to Rome, accommodation in a four-star hotel and a private ceremony to actually receive the keys to the Italian Supercar “in the presence of Pope Francis and Lamborghini CEO, Stefano Domenicali” at the Vatican, according to the fundraising page.
Proceeds from the online auction will still be going to charity to help “those that have been devastated by violence and war, assist victims of human trafficking, provide medical care and education to those living in poverty”
