It is a Pagani, well kind of. What you are looking at here is a Pagani Grand Tourer and before the millionaires amongst us all go rushing for their bank cards, it is at this moment anyway, just a rendering.
Conjured up by Russian designer Igor Krasnov, his challenge was to envisage a front-engined, rear-wheel-drive design layout for a Pagani, providing a supercar of different proportions to what has come from the Italian supercar maker before.
The unnamed Pagani coupe features a very long front bonnet with enough room underneath to accommodate the same engine fitted in the Huayra, that 720hp V12 Mercedes AMG twin turbo. With a short pert rear following the sweeping roofline it gives a hint of other grand tourers about it (Aston Martin and AMG sprint to mind), the rendering proves that Pagani’s stunning design can be applied to grand tourer mode. The artist has used gullwing doors and he made some changes to the front and rear lights, create an overall very dramatic effect.
Certainly if Pagani ever decided it was time to create a front engined rear wheel drive GT they might do well to investigate Krasnov’s project a little more…
