Supercars are fast, starting the obvious but their whole demeanur is to go fast, now a days as effortlessly as possible, however despite how quick your modern every day supercar might be, certain individuals, as with most cars want them to go quicker…and how.
Step forward Dallas Performance, with their Lamborghini Huracan – a car already producing around 602bhp from it’s 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine – has just sneaked under the 8 second barrier doing a quarter of a mile run at 186 mph. The raging bull hits 60 mph in 1.8 seconds, ran from 60 to 130 mph in 2.6 seconds, and went from 100 mph to 150 mph in 2.29 seconds, pretty impressive stuff.
It’s unclear exactly what upgrades this Lamborghini was given to achieve this run, no doubt new cylinder heads, upgraded fuel injectors, strengthened gearbox, new camshafts, turbochargers and various other goings on. The video even shows the front tyres leaving the ground at one stage, so some serious acceleration is going on here.
Whether you think it’s cool or not you have to admire what Dallas Performance have achieved in blowing the doors off the 8 second quarter mile with their modifications.
