Some five years after Michael Schumachers freak skiing accident whilst on holiday, former boss and close friend Jean Todt has revealed he still visits Michael regularly, around twice a month.
Todt, 72, told The Times: “I love Michael. I see his family.
“I wish the situation would be different.
Despite not giving anything away on Michaels condition Jean did share his fondness and affection for the seven time world champion.
“When people ask me what is my best memory, it’s this one.
“That’s Suzuka in 2000. Michael is world champion after 21 years.
“I remember saying to Michael, ‘on a professional level, things will be different for us.
“In fact they weren’t different because we had so much passion for success that, when we got that, we wanted to win the next one. That was a time to stop for a while.”
As far as Michaels recovery is concerned the family has refused all requests to publish any information.
His agent, Sabine Kehm, said in December 2016: “Michael’s health is not a public issue, and so we will continue to make no comment in that regard.”
For now we continue to send our love and best wishes to Michael and his family. #keepfightingmichael
