Over the years, Lamborghini has produced their fair share of special edition cars more recently the Reventon, Veneno and Sesto Elemento just to name a few.
One of these special edition Lamborghinis include the Centenario. The Lamborghini Centenario was created to celebrate the hundredth birthday of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini. The Centenario was revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, 50 years after the legendary Miura made its debut at the same event. The breathtakingly beautiful Centenario is based on the Aventador and is powered by a 6.5-litre V12, producing a mighty 759hp (566 kW) and 690 Nm of torque, which is more than the Veneno.
Only 20 Lamborghini Centenario coupes were built and this one is heading to auction as part of Mecum’s sale at Monterey later this month. This example is the only Centenario built for the American market and features a stunning Nero Alderbaran exterior with red trim. This example only has 49 miles on the clock and is estimated to sell for more than $2 million.
Not many people can afford a special edition Lamborghini, but we can all dream.
