Being hailed as the best handling Lamborghini ever, the Italian Supercar maker has dropped a teaser picture of the forthcoming Aventador SVJ in bright green ahead of the cars official unveiling at the Pebbles Beach event later this month.
In fact Lamborghini has been pretty unguarded about it’s latest Supercar, relaying images on it’s social media sites as well as a video more recently of the car smashing the Nurburgring record where it set a time of six minutes and 44.97 seconds, fast indeed. Tis latest image from Lamborghini badge shows the car with the famous bull badge and two air vents featured on the bonnet. These vents form part of the Aventador SVJ’s Active Aerodynamics technology, surrounded by sharp lines and aggressive creases that have previously not been visible on spy shots.
All these adds up to feed air to the Lamborghini’s naturally aspirated 6.5 litre V12 producing 567kW at 8500rpm and 720rpm at 6750rpm, combine that with some serious weight saving, Lamborghini claims the SVJ will have a power to weight ratio of 1.98kg/hp (1.46kg/kW) – better than any other car in its 55-year history. The new Aventador SVJ also gets a completely revised suspension set up and bespoke Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres and will continue to use the brand’s ISR single-clutch transmission and sending power to all four wheels.
The new Lamborghini is set to be revealed at the Pebbles Beach event as part of Monterey Car Week in California at the end of this month, the Aventador SVJ is expected to be offered as both a coupe and a roadster.
