Yesterday saw the Cumbria AutoShow near Carlisle take place, a mixed festival of cars from various manufacturers sharing the sunny weather ‘Up North. Enzari took a stand at the show, accompanied by our friend John Pogson of Italia Motorsports in his beautiful 1975 Dino GT4.
The sun was almost as bright as some of the paint finishes on the various cars, from classic Ford Escorts to Japanese sports cars through to German saloons from BMW, Audi and Mercedes. The Italian community was well presented by a couple of Alfa Romeo’s, the North East Abarth club and of course yours truly, Enzari with our current loan vehicle from FCA, the Fiat Fullback. In fact rather handy we had the fullback, it’s loading bay proving more than capable of taking all of our stand equipment, gazebo, flags, poles, table and so on.
The day was undoubtely helped by the glorious weather we are currently enjoying in the UK, ensuring the queue for the ice cream vans never seemed to go down! At the show was a really good variety of people, from the car enthusiasts, petrolhead’s, young families and other generations taking in the mix of cars on show.
Amongst the cars, various aftermarket small local companies had their pitches, a great opportunity for them to promote their businesses and products. The day had a really good feel about it, everybody happy to chat to each other about their interest in cars, whatever they might be.
The Enzari stand certainly gained plenty of attention, people very interested in what we are and what we are doing, with the Dino also getting it’s fair share of admirers! It was a very enjoyable day and we hope to return next year to enjoy the hospitality of the Cumbrians…
