Pagani Huayra Roadster Is Most Expensive Car Lease

Think leasing a car is a cheaper way to get into that car that has been out of reach, well often this is the case but maybe not when that car is a Pagani, unless you have a spare $25k to spend each month. Across the ‘pond in the U.S Putnam Leasing will lease you a Pagani Huayra Roadster for the price of a top end hatchback per month!

With only 100 of the Huayra Roadster’s being produced you can at least know you will be driving something pretty exclusive. Of course the $25k per month is not the only outlay, there is the small matter of the $700,ooo deposit, factor in that hefty monthly payment and at the end of the 60 month agreement you will have paid somewhere in the region of $1.5M, about half a million less than buying the supercar outright.

Speaking to Digital Trends, Steven Posner, CEO of Putnam Leasing advised; “Open-end leases are not like historic closed-end leases,” he went on to say “It’s not like leasing a Mercedes from a dealer, where you get a closed-end lease on a car for 36 months and then buy or return it.”  Open-end vehicle leases, on the other hand, are “more geared towards the individual who wants to own the car at the end.”

The lease on the amazing Pagani works pretty much like any traditional lease, but with some extra benefits. Lessees will be able to purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease period, and if the vehicle’s value increases during the lease period, no extra charges are incurred, meaning the lessee (not the lessor) reaps the benefits. Putnam also allows clients to transfer their leases to a different comparable vehicle at any time with no penalty.

Pagani unveiled the Huayra Roadster at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It features a slightly different design than the coupe by adding nacelles with gills on the rear deck. The roof consists of a carbon fibre panel with a transparent section in the center or a simple fabric panel in case it starts raining while away from home. The Huayra Roadster is no slouch with a Mercedes-AMG-sourced biturbo V12 sits behind the occupants and produces 752 horsepower (561 kilowatts) and 738 pound-feet (1,000 Newton-meters) of torque.
