Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay Letting Two Of His Ferrari’s Go

Jay Kay is well known for fronting the band Jamiroquai, but equally known for being car mad, now the talented musician is letting two of his Ferrari’s go. Having owned all kind of Supercars over the years, from a Purple Lamborghini Diablo to a ‘Kermit the Frog Green’ LaFerrari, Jay Kay’s passion for car’s is unlimited. He is even a fan of the back to basic stuff, citing a Fiat Doblo as his everyday ride.

 

Last year we featured Jay’s Lancia Delta going to auction – https://enzari.com/news/for-sale-lancia-delta-integrale-one-careful-owner-jay-kay/ – , now going the same way are a pair of Ferrari’s up for sale, to go under the hammer next month at the Silverstone Auctions Ferrari Sale, one of these is Jay Kay’s first ever supercar.

 

 

The 1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello is in ‘Grigio Titanio’ with stunning Bordeaux red leather interior. With a glorious 5.5 litre V12 engine under the bonnet it produces 485nhp, this 90’s Supercar does the 0-60mph sprint in 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 199mph.

The 550 comes with a comprehensive service history as you would expect of a car of this calibre and owner. Covering just 13,980 miles, the Ferrari is expected to sell for somewhere between £135,000-160,000.

Selling alongside the 550 Maranello is the singers 2011 Ferrari FF, the Italian Supercar maker’s first 4wd car. Bought in May 2013, it’s finished in “Grigio FF” grey with “Cuoio Toscano” tan leather upholstery. This example of the Ferrari 4 seater includes a TV Tuner with upgraded hi-fi and rear headrest screens, 20in forged Diamantati alloy wheels, a sports exhaust upgrade, carbon FF grilles and privacy glass.

The FF has a 6.3-litre V12 engine which gives it a 0-60mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 208mph, not too shy for a family car?! Jay’s car has covered just 17,000 miles on the clock is expected to fetch between £120,000 and £135,000 at the Sale of Ferraris, held in association with Ferrari Owners’ Club GB on Friday May 18, 2018 at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire.
