According to sources close to Autocar, a 641bhp Alfa Romeo Coupe is on it’s way in 2019. Two engine option’s are said to be in the pipeline, a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-4 as standard and a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 Quadrifoglio, however the 2.9 litre V6 is said to gain an F1-style energy recovery system to boost the power to 641 hp, serious power, putting it way ahead of rivals from BMW and Mercedes.
The Giulia Coupe could get it’s unveiling later this year, with production to start in 2019. What name will be given to the new Coupe is unknown, although Autocar suggests GTV, much like the RWD 1970s Alfetta and Alfetta GTV could return.
