Mid-Life Fiat 500X Spied on Test

The Fiat 500X might have just had a 2018 upgrade, mainly with it’s U-Connect system, but the Fiat isn’t resting on it’s laurels with the Small SUV, 2019 will see the 500X get it’s midlife facelift.

Spied on test in the Artic circle, complete with it’s camouflage style covering – unlikley to be an option(?!), the images from Carscoops suggest a new Front facia is on the way, including some design changes to the running lights beneath the headlights. and new air intakes in the bumper are likely to get a sportier redesign.

The 500x caught undergoing cold weather testing also shows signs of a redesign to the Rear facia, with new rear lights, possible incorporating LED, and slightly redesigned bumper.

We don’t expect much change under the bonnet though, rumours suggest Fiat might replace the nine sped automatic gearbox with the new eight speed. A slightly sportier exterior might also hint of a 2.0 litre turbo option being added to the line up.
