Yes you read the title right, this really is a Ferrari powered Hot Rod, well of sorts.
What we have here is a 1932 Ford with a fibre glass body powered by a V8 Ferrari engine similar to the unit in a ’89 Lancia Thema 8.32, adding a couple of turbo chargers to give this beast 950bhp with rear-wheel drive, all sounds a bit insane? That’s cause it probably is!
Normally when you think of Ford and Ferrari you think of the 1960’s LeMans rivalry, Fords GT stealing Ferrari’s thunder, you naturally wouldn’t think of the two car manufacturers coming together. It’s on a diffeeent scale with Alan Lee’s 1932 Ford hot rod, this mad hatter car is currently listed on MP Classics World in the States for $250,000.
Despite this Hot Rod being kitted out with an independent rear end sitting on Achilles racing slicks and 15-inch, four piston disc brakes, six-speed Tremec manual gearbox with a race clutch. we are not sure it’s handling will be up to much, of course if you have a death wish…or just want something different for your car collection this might just tick the boxes.
