Pagani have revealed what may be the final incarnation of its Zonda model. The HP Barchetta made its appearance at Pebble Beach 2017 last week. This one-of-three special edition Zonda’s has apparently been created to celebrate Horacio Pagani’s 60th birthday late last year.
The HP Barchetta It appears to take elements from previous special edition Zondas, it’s colour scheme also seem’s inspired by the new Huayra Roadster. Pagani’s certainly tend border on the side of art somewhat and in a bid to stand out from the crowd this latest Zonda does things a little different, indeed the right side of the Supercar wears blue wheels, while the left gets silver alloy’s, stylish? We’re not quite sure.
Starting with it’s front ‘chopped’ windscreen, the Barchetta feature’s a complete open design, exposing the driver to all the elements Mother Nature might throw at you, on the plus side giving you unrestricted access to the amazing sound it will orchestrate as you put your foot down. As you’d expect the car carries minimum weight at just 1,250kg, making it lighter than the Huayra Roadster.
With focus being on performance, the HP Barchetta uses a manual gearbox, a 6-speed unit with a mechanical locking differential. No official details have been released yet but we understand this very limited edition Zonda will use the Pagani Huayra engine, as for performance figures we will just have to wait and see, maybe there will be one lucky owner out there who can let us know when they take delivery?!…
