Ferrari has announced that it will build one more LaFerrari Aperta. Car number 210 will be built with the sole aim of putting it up for auction and the proceeds from the same will go to charity. This is Ferrari’s way of celebrating its 70thAnniversary.
The last copy of the hypercar will unveiled at Maranello, Italy on September 9th during the Ferrari 70 celebrations. RM Sotheby’s will be taking care of the Ferrari – Leggenda E Passione auction, with the LaFerrari Aperta (sporting a unique livery) taking up Lot 154.
This unique Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta will be a fresh piece. So fresh that it is yet to be built.
The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta has the same mechanicals as the coupe. The 950 bhp (789 hp V12 and 161 hp electric motor) engine-motor combo allows the prancing horse to hit 0-62 mph in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph.
Expectations are high for the final LaFerrari Aperta as the hypercar was always in the news for being very difficult to procure. Ferrari was extremely-demanding in terms of reviewing aspiring buyers and many of those chaps had to be turned away for different reasons.
The final LaFerrari Aperta is expected to fetch upwards of £3M.
