Maserati Levante is star for tuning company

The Maserati Levante is a very smart SUV, making the likes of the Range Rover Sport look and feel dull by comparison. However for some the prestigious looks of the Italian aren’t enough, so german tuning company Startech has debuted its tuning program for the Maserati Levante crossover ahead of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next week.

Startech’s upgrades for the Levante consist of front and rear bumper inserts (both of which can be optioned in carbon fiber), an available dual-mode sports exhaust system and black 21-inch alloy wheels. The upgrades make Maserati’s SUV appear much sportier and as an added bonus, the front splitter and rear diffuser actually work together to produce a bit of downforce.

Startech, a subsidiary of renowned Mercedes tuner Brabus, will show its tuned Levante to the public for the first time at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

Upgrades to the Maserati will be both cosmetic  and performance related.  Startech will upgrade the interior of the Levante with more leather and alcantara and offers a variety of wood and carbon fiber dashboard inserts. It’s also working on a tuning program for both the 3.0-litre Petrol engine and 3.0-litre diesel, but for now, the only performance-enhancing part is the aforementioned sports exhaust for the petrol.
